Abstract In this work, a numerical analysis of compact 1 × 2 plasmonic demultiplexer based on metal–insulator-metal (MIM) waveguide is presented. Two hollow circular cavities are side coupled to the bus both sides. The designed in such way that they resonate at working wavelength 1310 nm and 1550 nm. mechanism light coupling an MIM has not been considered previous studies. Therefore, silicon tapered mode converter integrated with for efficient conversion dielectric mode. footprint device 6 ?m ?m. crosstalk P1 P2 ~ 14.07 dB 13.67 transmission nm, respectively.
